Good morning from the Renaissance Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. The Oasis of the Seas arrived in Port Everglades this morning and she towers over everything! First thing this morning, I made sure that she awaits us, as we will board in a couple of hours!
After checking in, we met some fellow cruisers at the hotel bar and compared notes and made plans to meet onboard. Afterwards, Ken & I walked over to the Quay where we had dinner at one of our favorite Ft. Lauderdale restaurants, Bravo. What a way to kick off our Oasis experience. We found a fun place for breakfast this Einstein’s. The lines of locals waiting for breakfast inspired our confidence and we were not disappointed… my iced coffee was particularly good!
Now it’s time to gather our bags and catch the hotel shuttle to the pier. We will be in room 11721, a boardwalk balcony stateroom. This will be a first for me! I’ll be sure to capture every nuance!
