Volendam & Edam, The

Both of these villages are truly a photographer's dream! We joined the included tour of Volendam and Edam, where we enjoyed both of these charming villages, each with their own little canals & locks.
We visited a “real” windmill and chatted with the miller and sampled Dutch cheeses in Edam.

Our tour guide looked just like Josh Groban. If you know me, you know that I am a “Grobanite” (a Josh Groban fan).
I really enjoyed this tour but it did not include ANY time for souvenir shopping. Humm… since we will be in Amsterdam for a few days, that doesn’t matter at all!
